Just three episodes remain of DC Universe’s “Swamp Thing,” and this Friday’s eighth episode is a special one. It marks the return of legendary actress Adrienne Barbeau to the swamp, who of course played Alice Cable in Wes Craven’s Swamp Thing movie back in 1982. Barbeau will join the series this Friday night as Dr. Palomar, a brand new character.
This Friday’s “Long Walk Home” was directed by E.L. Katz, the director of the films Cheap Thrills and Small Crimes, as well as “Channel Zero: The Dream Door”!

“After a harrowing journey of survival through the swamp, Avery comes face to face with Swamp Thing, who rescues the injured man. After recovering, Avery vows to return with Woodrue and help find a cure. But can they be trusted? Meanwhile, Abby is confronted by Nathan Ellery and the Conclave at the CDC in Atlanta. Realizing that Swamp Thing is in danger, she returns to Marais – only to find she’s too late. Lastly, Matt learns a secret about Avery Sunderland.”
