AMC is opening up the world of “The Walking Dead” with a second spinoff series, arriving next year. Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Aliyah Royale and Annet Mahendru will lead the cast, and Deadline reports today that Nico Tortorella (Scream 4, “Younger”) has also landed a leading role in the untitled spinoff series.
“Nico’s character, Felix, is described as an honorable man of his word who isn’t afraid to fight for others’ safety and acceptance.”
We don’t know all that much about the series other than the general approach, but it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the pilot episode!
The series is said to feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it.
The 10-episode first season of the series will premiere on AMC in Spring 2020.
