Last year, Netflix announced two French projects, both of them horror. The first was just dated and also has a fantastic trailer.
“Marianne”, which has a Stephen King quality to it, follows a novelist who realizes her terrifying stories are coming true and returns to her hometown to face the demons from her past that inspire her writing.
There’s a bit of King, Goosebumps and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark in the trailer, by the way of Alex Aja and Pascal Laugier. It looks as spooky as it is bloody and we get to splash around in all the chaos on Friday, September 13th!
It was created and will be directed by Samuel Bodin who co-writes with Quoc Dang Tran.
