[Trailer] Starz Series “Dublin Murders” Could Be Your New “True Detective”

Published

Adapted from Tana French’s novels “In The Woods” and “The Likeness,” the upcoming Starz series “Dublin Murders” is set to premiere on November 10, and the official trailer has arrived today. The trailer introduces detectives Rob Reilly (Killian Scott) and Cassie Maddox (Sarah Greene), who together embark on the quest for a killer on the outskirts of Dublin.

Check out the trailer below, which suggests a deep-rooted murder-mystery investigation that should appeal to fans of HBO’s “True Detective” – particularly its creepy debut season.

“When a young girl is found murdered in a dense wood on the outskirts of Dublin, Reilly – a smart-suited detective whose English accent marks him as an outsider – is dispatched to investigate with his partner, Maddox. Against his better judgment and protected by his friendship with Cassie, he is pulled back into another case of missing children and forced to confront his own darkness.”

“As the case intensifies, Rob and Cassie’s relationship is tested to the breaking point and when Cassie is sent undercover for another murder case, she is forced to come face to face with her own brutal reckoning.”

“Dublin Murders” comes from series creator and writer Sarah Phelps. The lead director of the eight-part series is Saul Dibb, supported by John Hayes and Rebecca Gatward.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has two awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

The Ghostbusters franchise returns to the world of animation with brand new Netflix series “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and the official logo has been revealed this weekend.

Expect “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” to clock in on Netflix in 2027!

Netflix previews, “Ghostbusters: Night Shift, a series from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, will debut exclusively on Netflix in 2027.

“The new series marks the next chapter in the franchise’s ghoul-catching legacy, bringing supernatural comedy and paranormal action back to animation.”

The upcoming animated series from Netflix will be executive produced by Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Amie Karp, and Dan Aykroyd.

Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters features, and Kenan co-wrote the franchise’s most recent installments, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire.

“This isn’t the first time the Ghostbusters universe has gone animated,” Netflix reminds in their press release today. “The 1980s and ’90s saw The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters take over the small screen. For now, you can rest assured: If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, a Ghostbuster will be on the job — even if it’s after hours.”
