[Video] Title Sequence for “American Horror Story: 1984” Dials the Retro Aesthetic Up to Eleven

Ryan Murphy took to Instagram today to share the official, retro-heavy title sequence for FX’s “American Horror Story: 1984,” a season inspired by classic 1980s slasher films.

Murphy writes, “I am so excited to share with you the new title sequence by our longtime collaborator Kyle Cooper and our new friend Corey Vega, who ignited this concept with an original “fan” cut he posted on Twitter after the 1984 season was announced. I liked it so much, I decided to bring him on board to work together with Kyle as they evolved the concept into something major. Congratulations Corey! 1980s horror never looked so good.”

And yes, they even gave the iconic “AHS” theme an ’80s makeover!

“AHS: 1984” will premiere on Wednesday, September 18.

“Them: The Scare” Exclusive Clip – The Legendary Pam Grier Stars in Prime Video’s Horror Series

Prime Video’s horror anthology series “Them” returns this week with brand new season “Them: The Scare,” which will premiere worldwide on Prime Video beginning April 25, 2024.

The first season of “Them” (now retroactively dubbed “Covenant”) debuted back in 2021, and this second installment of the anthology series will consist of eight episodes.

“Them: The Scare” will once again be set in Los Angeles…

The story centers on LAPD Homicide Detective Dawn Reeve, who is assigned to a new case: the gruesome murder of a foster home mother that has left even the most hardened detectives shaken. Navigating a tumultuous time in Los Angeles, with a city on the razor’s edge of chaos, Dawn is determined to stop the killer.

But as she draws closer to the truth, something ominous and malevolent grips her and her family…

The series cast includes Deborah Ayorinde as “Detective Dawn Reeve,” Pam Grier as “Athena,” and Grammy-nominated musician and actor Luke James as “Edmund Gaines.”

Rounding out the cast for the second season of “Them” are Joshua J. WilliamsJeremy BobbWayne KnightCarlito Olivero, Charles Brice, and Iman Shumpert.

“Them: The Scare” is a co-production of Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Series creator Little Marvin serves as showrunner and executive producer with Miri Yoon and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment and Steve Prinz.
