It was announced earlier this year that Hulu was developing a solo series for iconic Marvel character Ghost Rider, with Gabriel Luna set to star as the title character, Robbie Reyes.
Unfortunately, Deadline reports today that Hulu is not moving forward with the series.
The site reports, “I hear Hulu and the Ghost Rider team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series.”
“It is unclear whether the series will be shopped elsewhere,” they add.
“Marvel’s Ghost Rider, also known as Robbie Reyes, is a quintessential antihero, consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon.”
“Reyes lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields.”
