In the return of “Castle Rock”, psychopath Annie Wilkes (played Lizzy Caplan), a nurse from hell, gets waylaid in Castle Rock. Here, we see images from the premiere episode in which Misery comes to town.
Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption) will be returning to the world of Stephen King in Season 2, alongside Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), Yusra Warsama, Barkhad Abdi, Matthew Alan, John Hoogenakker and Paul Sparks. Robin Weigert will be playing Crysilda Wilkes, Annie’s mother. Sarah Gadon (Alias Grace, True Detective), Alison Wright (The Americans) and Greg Grunberg (Heroes, Alias) have also been set as guest stars.
Castle Rock was previewed in a 13-minute drive that gives fans the driver’s seat view as the car winds through the woods en route to Jerusalem’s Lot, ultimately leading to an exclusive sneak peek at season two. Along the way, the viewer will see and hear easter eggs from the Stephen King and Bad Robot universes, in addition to a few hints at what’s to come this season.
“Misery” quite literally arrives at Castle Rock on October 23rd.
