For many, it’s simply not Halloween until “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” has been watched, and there’s no better way to watch the iconic seasonal treat than by watching it with everyone else. Sure, hardcore fans of the Halloween special probably already own it on DVD, but there’s something to be said for gathering together and watching it on TV.
The 30-minute version of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” airs TONIGHT (10/22) on ABC at 8pm EST. The full hour-long version will then air on Sunday, 10/27 at 7pm EST.
The 10/27 airing will also include the bonus cartoon “You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown.”
In the 1966 animated special, the Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween. Linus hopes that he will finally be visited by The Great Pumpkin, while Charlie Brown is invited to a Halloween party.
