Incredible “Real Ghostbusters” Print Collects ALL of the Toys!

While most of us cherish the Ghostbusters movies, we worshipped “The Real Ghostbusters”, the canonical animated series that would continue the adventures of Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, and their new ghost pal, Slimer.

The cartoon, from Columbia Pictures and DIC, was impressively creative and allowed the creation of unique goblins and ghouls that felt more organic than the later toys in the He-Man, Thundercats or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universes. They went absolutely wild throughout the show’s seven seasons tackling everything from the Universal Monsters to ghosts made out of toilets, sports players and more.

Artist Bill McConkey celebrates the novel creations by putting every. single. action figure ever produced in a single print. He’s tweeted out that there are only ten available as of this writing, so you better hurry. It’s only $35.  Here’s to hoping that he’ll create one that has the appearance of being slimed….

Monster Cereals 55th Anniversary Jim Henson encore

General Mills’ Monster Cereals turn 55 this Halloween, and Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Franken Berry are celebrating accordingly with an encore collab with Jim Henson Company.

The iconic cereals are returning with newly designed packaging and the reimagined puppets created by the Jim Henson Company, first introduced last year. This time, fans can flip over each box to create their own puppet.

The limited-edition collection of Monsters cereals will be available in retailers nationwide later this month.

Super fans can score a limited-edition fuzzy Count Chocula cereal box, designed to replicate the fleece-like texture of the puppets, available exclusively on Walmart.com for $7.76 starting October 1.

“For 55 years, the Monsters have brought a smile, and a little thrill, to cereal bowls,” said Megan Brooks, Business Unit Director for Family Favorites Cereal at General Mills. “Fans loved Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Franken Berry reimagined through The Jim Henson Company’s creativity last year, so we were excited to team up again to create fresh new packaging designs that celebrate the characters and bring even more Halloween fun to store shelves.”

“Last year, our team from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop had so much fun bringing these beloved Monsters to life as puppets, and we know our fans will enjoy seeing them again this season for
more memorable magic,” said Nicole Goldman, Executive Vice President of Branding for The Jim Henson Company. “And new this Halloween, we’re giving cereal and Jim Henson Company fans alike the chance to put their creativity to the test by transforming each cereal box into its own Monster puppet.”

Since their debut in 1971, the Monsters have blended spooky Halloween-themed fun with seasonal flavor, delighting generations of fans. Cheers to 55 years of Halloween memories and monster breakfast fun.
