Julianne Moore and Clive Owen have been set to star in a small screen adaptation of Stephen King‘s Lisey’s Story for Apple, with Moore playing the title character and Owen co-starring as her late husband. Deadline reports today that Dane Dehaan (A Cure for Wellness, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets) has also been set as a leading member of the cast.
The site details, “Dehaan will play Jim Dooley, a huge fan of Scott’s (Owen) books who feels strongly about his unpublished work being released to the world.”
Joan Allen (A Good Marriage) joined the cast last week.
The 8-hour limited series is written by King, who will also executive produce.
The series is described as a deeply personal thriller that follows Lisey (Moore) two years following the death of her husband.
“The series explores a series of events that causes her to begin facing amazing realities about her husband that she had repressed and forgotten.”
J.J. Abrams is on board to produce through Bad Robot Productions.
