Mark Hamill Will Guest Star in the Second Season of “What We Do in the Shadows”!
Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement assembled some pretty cool guest stars for the first season of FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows,” including Wesley Snipes, Tilda Swinton and Paul Reubens, and it looks like the fun celebrity cameos will be continuing in this year’s second season. For starters, it’s been confirmed this week that Mark Hamill will guest star!
Hamill, who’s fresh off of voicing Chucky in last year’s Child’s Play remake, tweeted this after Clement spilled the beans during the show’s Television Critics Association panel yesterday.
“Remember when I told you about a project I really, really, really, REALLY loved but it was under an NDA? Well, @AJemaineClement just let the bat out of the bag & announced I’ll soon be visiting my favorite undead family on @theshadowsfx!“
No word yet on which episode he’ll appear in or what character he’ll be playing.
“What We Do in the Shadows” will return to FX on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

Ralph Ineson and Corey Stoll Join ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ Spinoff Series Starring Wyatt Russell
The small screen MonsterVerse is expanding with a “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” spinoff series centered on Lee Shaw (Wyatt Russell), and Deadline brings us the latest casting news.
Corey Stoll (Imperfect Women, Billions), Ralph Ineson (The Witch, The Fantastic Four: First Steps), and Nyasha Hatendi (Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials, Casual) have signed on.
Pilou Asbæk (Salem’s Lot) and Millie Brady (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) also star.
Originally announced back in December, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” showrunner and “Monarch” executive producer Joby Harold will serve as showrunner on the untitled spinoff series.
The series will follow Colonel Lee Shaw, an American operative who in 1984 went on a secret mission behind enemy lines in an attempt to stop the Soviets from unleashing a horrific new Titan big enough to destroy the U.S. and turn the tide of the Cold War.
Wyatt Russell told Collider earlier this year, “you’ve got absolutely no fucking clue what to expect. I think people are going to expect one thing and be like, ‘Holy shit, this is not what I expected.’ It’ll go deeper into Lee’s experience after he came up, and being sort of put on ice, in 1982, and then what happens after that, and why he’s needed and the mission he goes on.”
