On April 8th, 1990, Mark Frost and David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” premiered on ABC, introducing FBI Agent Dale Cooper and weaving a surreal tale centered on the mysterious murder of the titular town’s homecoming queen, Laura Palmer. Though it was cancelled after just two seasons, “Twin Peaks” developed a massive cult following, leading to a revival back in 2017.
Today, April 8th, 2020, officially marks thirty years of “Twin Peaks,” and stars Kyle MacLachlan and Mädchen Amick are getting together to celebrate with the show’s fans.
For #TwinPeaks30, MacLachlan and Amick are taking part in a #TwinPeaksWatchParty today, live-tweeting along with the show’s pilot episode at 11:30am PT and then hosting a live Q&A chat over on Instagram at 1:20pm PT. While you wait, make sure you’re following Kyle MacLachlan on Instagram, and also be sure to follow both MacLachlan and Amick on Twitter.
For those who don’t own the series, “Twin Peaks” is currently streaming on Netflix.
Amick tweets, “We premiered our intensely quiet little underdog of a show exactly 30 years ago – April 8, 1990 …and then it exploded… and changed television (and films) forever!”
