Based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Max Brallier, the second season of Netflix‘s animated series “The Last Kids on Earth” is arriving this Friday, April 17th.
Of particular note? The show’s “Book 2” will introduce a brand new monster character by the name of Chef, voiced by none other than The Evil Dead icon Bruce Campbell!

“Chef is the grouchy monster who cooks all the bizarre concoctions at Joe’s Pizza. He’s still learning how to cook with Earth food. His cuisine is less than tasty, but he challenges Dirk to competitive cook-offs!”
The series follows Jack Sullivan and a band of suburban middle schoolers living in a decked-out tree house, playing video games, gorging themselves on candy and battling zombies.
In the 10-episode Season Two, “Jack, June, Quint and Dirk set out to find missing zombies, reclaim their town and maybe — just maybe — finally score a seat at the cool table.”
Season Two of the Atomic Cartoons series will feature a star-studded cast that also includes Mark Hamill, Rosario Dawson, Catherine O’Hara, Nick Wolfhard and Keith David.
