The future begins in 2021.
Apple TV+ is adapting Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series of sci-fi novels in the form of the 10-episode “Foundation,” with Lee Pace (“Halt and Catch Fire”) and Jared Harris (“The Terror”) leading the cast. “The series chronicles the epic saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.”
“Foundation” stars SAG Award-winner and Emmy-nominee Jared Harris as Hari Seldon; Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Llobell as Gaal; Leah Harvey as Salvor; Laura Birn as Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn.
The series hails from David Goyer, Josh Friedman and Skydance Television.
Goyer will be the show-runner and executive producer.
