The third episode of Shudder‘s new season of the anthology horror series “Creepshow” is now streaming, and next week’s fourth episode will bring a true horror icon into the mix.

Barbara Crampton stars in the segment “Pipe Screams” from Episode 4, written by Daniel Kraus and directed by Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2, Mayhem). In “Pipe Screams,” a drain clog turns out to be more than just a little matted hair and soap scum, and a down-on-his luck plumber is tasked with getting the problem under control. Trouble is, the problem has a mind of its own.

Chatting with Bloody Disgusting’s Boo Crew Podcast, Crampton teases the character she’s playing in “Pipe Screams.” Crampton explains, “It’s really fun. I’ve been a fan of Joe Lynch for a really long time. My character is…it was written around the time that there was that woman in Central Park who was kind of the Karen with the dog, and she was yelling at the bird watcher. So I play kind of a Karen, who’s not a very nice person. And I really appreciated that, because I think that’s kind of playing against type. They offered me a role that was really wicked.”

It was very fun for me to express that part of myself,” Crampton adds. You can listen to Crampton’s full chat with The Boo Crew below, which also covers new movie Jakob’s Wife.

The other segment in Episode 4 is titled “Within the Walls of Madness,” written by John Esposito and directed by John Harrison. In the tale, “a top-secret government compound is evacuated as the last few scientists in the building fight to contain the creature they’ve been studying- but is the true threat one of them?” Denise Crosby (Pet Sematary) stars.

Episode 4 of Shudder’s “Creepshow” premieres on Thursday, April 22nd.

“Life was a wheel, its only job was to turn, and it always came back to where it started.”

The Losers’ Club: A Stephen King Podcast heads to Frazier, New Hampshire to review Stephen King’s 2013 novel, Doctor Sleep. The sequel to 1977’s The Shining follows a much-older Danny Torrance, whose battle with alcoholism becomes all the more complicated when he crosses paths with a young child who also has the shine.

Join Losers Randall Colburn, Michael Roffman, and Dan Caffrey as they discuss the True Knot, dirty dishes with poundcake, and debate if King should have ever burned down The Overlook Hotel. Note: This episode was recorded in 2019 and is being re-released today as part of their ensuing chronological read-through.

Stream the discussion below and stay tuned next week for an episode on Bryan Fuller’s Carrie.
