Trailer for ‘Train to Busan’ Director’s Netflix Series “Hellbound”! [Video]
Netflix is heading “Hellbound” with Yeon Sang-ho, the Korean director behind Train to Busan and its sequel Peninsula, who taps into the world’s collective anxiety with his wildly original take on the procedural drama.
Set to screen at the forthcoming Toronto International Film Festival, a first trailer has risen straight from Hell in which we see the opening moments of the series where three demonic figures come smashing through a coffee shop window, pinning a man down and leaving him in ashes.
Based on the Korean webtoon “Hell”, ” ‘Hellbound’ tells a story of surviving under social chaos when a group of supernatural beings appear and condemn people to hell. A new religious group interprets them as the will of the divine.
“What unfolds through this predicament is an intense and highly-charged story about people who must survive under conditions of utter social chaos,” explained the initial press release.

A lonely Carrie White seeks friendship and answers in the first teaser for Carrie, a brand new adaptation of Stephen King’s classic story from horror master Mike Flanagan.
Along with the new teaser comes the announcement that the eight-episode limited series premieres on Prime Video on October 7.
The series follows misfit high‑schooler Carrie White (Summer H. Howell), who has spent her life hidden away inside the walls of her home with her fiercely protective mother, Margaret (Samantha Sloyan). After her father’s sudden, untimely death thrusts her into the unforgiving ecosystem of public high school, Carrie is forced to navigate a viral bullying scandal that tears through her community, the relentless pressure and casual cruelty of the social‑media age, and the awakening of mysterious telekinetic powers that rise alongside her adolescence.
Carrie is written and executive produced by showrunner Mike Flanagan (Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Hill House) with Flanagan also directing four episodes.
Stephen King also serves as executive producer.
Also starring in the series are Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, Josie Tota as Tina, Arthur Conti as Billy, Thalia Dudek as Emaline, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin, and Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle.
Each of the show’s episodes will apparently open with the introduction of “a different, unique story of a different woman, somewhere else in the world and in time, coming to terms with their own abilities.” Flanagan teased, “Carrie’s specific place among that group of women is part of the real joy that we get to discover over the course of the season.”
Expect Flanagan to expand King’s story in unexpected ways, using a modern lens.
