The first season of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” series ended on a wild and wildly satisfying note last night (read our review), and now the series has finally sliced its way onto streaming.
All 8 episodes of “Chucky” are now streaming exclusively on Peacock!
And if you’re hungry for even more Chucky, the films Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky are also currently streaming on the Peacock service, so why not revisit them while you’re at it?!
Oh and by the way, “Chucky” returns for Season 2 in 2022!
Brad Dourif is back as Chucky and Jennifer Tilly is back as Tiffany in “Chucky,” which continues the storylines from the *original* movies and their recent sequels, Curse and Cult of Chucky. Other returning stars include Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, and Christine Elise as Kyle. Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Hunter Hunter) also stars.
“Chucky” has been described as a “fresh take on the franchise” that’ll “explore Chucky’s character with a depth that is uniquely afforded by the television series format.”
In the series, “After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. The Ghostbusters franchise returns to the world of animation with brand new Netflix series “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and the official logo has been revealed this weekend.
Expect “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” to clock in on Netflix in 2027!
Netflix previews, “Ghostbusters: Night Shift, a series from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, will debut exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
“The new series marks the next chapter in the franchise’s ghoul-catching legacy, bringing supernatural comedy and paranormal action back to animation.”
The upcoming animated series from Netflix will be executive produced by Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Amie Karp, and Dan Aykroyd.
Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters features, and Kenan co-wrote the franchise’s most recent installments, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
“This isn’t the first time the Ghostbusters universe has gone animated,” Netflix reminds in their press release today. “The 1980s and ’90s saw The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters take over the small screen. For now, you can rest assured: If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, a Ghostbuster will be on the job — even if it’s after hours.”
