The wait is almost over for “Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2,” which will be premiering this Sunday, January 9, 2022 on both Funimation and Crunchyroll. “Final Season Part 2″ is being billed as “the epic continuation of the worldwide anime phenomenon. Starting with episode 76, the lines between friends and enemies become even more blurred. The War for Paradis explodes in Shiganshina and as battle rages on and the true intentions of the masterminds behind the current state of the world become clear.
“The war for Paradis zeroes in on Shiganshina just as Jaegerists have seized control. After taking a huge blow from a surprise attack led by Eren, Marley swiftly acts to return the favor. With Zeke’s true plan revealed and a military forced under new rule, this battle might be fought on two fronts. Does Eren intend on fulfilling his half-brother’s wishes or does he have a plan of his own?”
In the series, “Many years ago, humanity was forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that lurked outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scout Regiment dared to stray behind the safety of the walls –but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive.”
Based on one of the best-selling manga series of all time, having sold over 100 million volumes of the manga in print across the world, the award-winning franchise was created by Hajime Isayama. The anime series is currently produced by MAPPA (Banana Fish; JUJUTSU KAISEN; ZOMBIE LAND SAGA) and licensed from Kodansha (AKIRA; FAIRY TAIL; Fire Force; That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime).
The Ghostbusters franchise returns to the world of animation with brand new Netflix series “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and the official logo has been revealed this weekend.
Expect “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” to clock in on Netflix in 2027!
Netflix previews, “Ghostbusters: Night Shift, a series from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, will debut exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
“The new series marks the next chapter in the franchise’s ghoul-catching legacy, bringing supernatural comedy and paranormal action back to animation.”
The upcoming animated series from Netflix will be executive produced by Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Amie Karp, and Dan Aykroyd.
Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters features, and Kenan co-wrote the franchise’s most recent installments, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
“This isn’t the first time the Ghostbusters universe has gone animated,” Netflix reminds in their press release today. “The 1980s and ’90s saw The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters take over the small screen. For now, you can rest assured: If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, a Ghostbuster will be on the job — even if it’s after hours.”
