“The Baby” Trailer – HBO Gives Birth to ‘The Omen’ Inspired Horror Comedy
Coming in completely off the radar, Bloody has the first trailer for the HBO MAX original eight-episode limited series “The Baby”, set to debut on Sunday, April 24th (10:30-11:00 p.m. ET/PT).
A horror comedy from creators Siân Robins-Grace and Lucy Gaymer, “The Baby” presents a darkly funny, raw examination of motherhood, from the perspective of a woman who doesn’t want to be one. Oh, and it looks straight outta The Omen!
Michelle De Swarte (“The Duchess”) stars as 38-year-old Natasha, who is furious that her closest friends are all having babies. But when she is unexpectedly landed with a baby of her own, her life dramatically implodes. Controlling, manipulative, but incredibly cute, the baby twists Natasha’s life into a surreal horror show. As she discovers the true extent of the baby’s deadly nature, Natasha makes increasingly desperate attempts to get rid of it. She doesn’t want a baby. But the baby definitely wants her.
The series also stars Amira Ghazalla (“The Rhythm Section”) as Mrs. Eaves, the 70-year-old enigma who has spent the last fifty years living out of her car and seems to be everywhere the Baby is, and Amber Grappy as Bobbi, Natasha’s younger sister, a children’s magician who would love nothing more than to be a parent, to give love and to receive it.
Additional cast includes Patrice Naiambana (“Spectre”) as Natasha’s father Lyle, Sinéad Cusack (“Marcella”) as her mother Barbara, with Shvorne Marks (“Endeavour”) as Mags, Isy Suttie (“Peep Show”) as Rita, Tanya Reynolds (“Sex Education”) as Helen, Seyan Sarvan (HBO Max’s “It’s a Sin”) as Nour, Karl Davies (“The Tower”) as Jack, and Divian Ladwa (“Ant-Man and the Wasp”) as Fooze.

The Ghostbusters franchise returns to the world of animation with brand new Netflix series “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and the official logo has been revealed this weekend.
Expect “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” to clock in on Netflix in 2027!
Netflix previews, “Ghostbusters: Night Shift, a series from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, will debut exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
“The new series marks the next chapter in the franchise’s ghoul-catching legacy, bringing supernatural comedy and paranormal action back to animation.”
The upcoming animated series from Netflix will be executive produced by Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Amie Karp, and Dan Aykroyd.
Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters features, and Kenan co-wrote the franchise’s most recent installments, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
“This isn’t the first time the Ghostbusters universe has gone animated,” Netflix reminds in their press release today. “The 1980s and ’90s saw The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters take over the small screen. For now, you can rest assured: If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, a Ghostbuster will be on the job — even if it’s after hours.”
