The second episode of Don Mancini’s “Chucky” Season 2 aired on both USA and SYFY last night, and once again SYFY has uploaded the complete episode to YouTube for free.

In Season 2 Episode 2, Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur), Devon Evans (Bjorgvin Arnarson), and Lexy Cross (Alyvia Alyn Lind) struggle with homophobia and the strict rules of their new Catholic reform school, especially when Chucky arrives with a murderous agenda.

Meanwhile, in Beverly Hills, a suspicious detective threatens Tiffany’s (Jennifer Tilly) imposture as “Jennifer Tilly” and the discovery of her secret hostage, Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif).

Meagan Navarro wrote in her episode review for Bloody Disgusting, “Episode two gets a bit more settled into the new season. The central conflicts for Jake, Lexy, and Devon are becoming crystalized, and the teases from Nica and Tiffany instill heavy anticipation for what’s ahead. Revenge is gearing up to play a pivotal role in key character arcs this season, and this episode highlights how even the best laid plans can derail spectacularly.”

Episode 2 ends with a hugely exciting tease that we won’t spoil for anyone who hasn’t yet watched, but just know that “Chucky” Season 2 is only getting better from this point forward!

Watch new episodes of “Chucky” on Wednesdays at 9/8c on SYFY and USA Network.

Nightmares and Daydreams teaser

Indonesian filmmaker Joko Anwar (Satan’s Slaves, Impetigore), known internationally for stylish and gory horror, has a supernatural anthology series debuting on Netflix this summer with “Nightmares and Daydreams.” A new teaser gives a closer look at the strange phenomena haunting this dreamy new series.

Joko Anwar’s “Nightmares and Daydreams” arrives globally on Netflix on June 14, 2024.

Netflix describes “Nightmares & Daydreams” as “a supernatural thriller series that shows there isn’t necessarily a rational explanation behind every occurrence.”

Here’s the full official synopsis: “A sci-fi supernatural series about ordinary people encountering strange phenomena that may be keys to the answer about the origin of our world and the imminent threat we will soon face. Characters and plots will intertwine like pieces of a puzzle. And the big picture will be awe-inspiring.”

The seven episode series presents a different story and a new set of actors in each installment, leading up to a big showdown in the finale.

Ario Bayu, Lukman Sardi, Yoga Pratama, Fachri Albar, Marissa Anita, and Sita Nursanti star.

The series was initially announced in 2022 by Deadline as part of a huge slate of Indonesian projects that included several new series and movies from renowned Indonesian filmmakers, including Joko Anwar. The outlet reported to expect “Nightmares & Daydreams” to follow multiple storylines that would see ordinary people encountering strange, eerie phenomena.

“Indonesia is so full of unique and extraordinary stories. I’m always excited to have the chance to bring these stories to a wider audience,” Anwar told Deadline at the time of the announcement.

“Nightmares & Daydreams” isn’t the only horror offering in the pipeline from Anwar; expect to hear more soon about Siksa Kubur (Grave Torture), an upcoming horror film written and directed by Joko Anwar from the production house Come and See Pictures. The film is a feature length adaptation of the 2012 short film, available to watch now on Anwar’s YouTube channel.
