“Swarm” Full Trailer – Donald Glover’s Prime Video Series Looks Like ‘Misery’ for a New Generation
From Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, Prime Video’s new series “Swarm” follows Dre (Dominique Fishback), a young woman whose obsession with a pop star takes a dark turn.
The series premieres March 17, and you can watch the full official trailer below. We’re getting vibes of Stephen King’s Misery from this one, filtered through today’s modern lens.
“Swarm,” set between 2016-2018, follows Dre (Dominique Fishback), an obsessed fan of the world’s biggest pop star who sets off on an unexpected cross-country journey.
The series is said to be inspired by Beyoncé and her rabid fanbase.
Starring Dominique Fishback, the series will also feature guest stars Chlöe Bailey as Dre’s sister, Marissa, and Damson Idris as Marissa’s boyfriend, Khalid. Additional guest stars include Rickey Thompson, Paris Jackson, Rory Culkin, Kiersey Clemons, and Byron Bowers.Janine Nabers serves as showrunner and Donald Glover directed the pilot. Stephen Glover, Fam Udeorji, Steven Prinz, and Michael Schaefer serve as executive producers. Dominique Fishback also serves as a producer. “Swarm” comes from Amazon Studios and Gilga.
Prime Video will be premiering all episodes of “Swarm” on March 17 exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The Ghostbusters franchise returns to the world of animation with brand new Netflix series “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and the official logo has been revealed this weekend.
Expect “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” to clock in on Netflix in 2027!
Netflix previews, “Ghostbusters: Night Shift, a series from Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation based on the beloved Ghostbusters franchise, will debut exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
“The new series marks the next chapter in the franchise’s ghoul-catching legacy, bringing supernatural comedy and paranormal action back to animation.”
The upcoming animated series from Netflix will be executive produced by Ben Hibon, Elliott Kalan, Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Amie Karp, and Dan Aykroyd.
Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters features, and Kenan co-wrote the franchise’s most recent installments, Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
“This isn’t the first time the Ghostbusters universe has gone animated,” Netflix reminds in their press release today. “The 1980s and ’90s saw The Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters take over the small screen. For now, you can rest assured: If there’s something strange in your neighborhood, a Ghostbuster will be on the job — even if it’s after hours.”
