Hawkins is preparing for its final battle with the Upside Down with “Stranger Things 5,” and Netflix has released a fresh batch of images teasing just how intense things will get.

The first four episodes will premiere on November 26, the next three episodes on December 25, and the series finale on December 31. Each volume releases globally at 5pm PT/8pm ET.

The images below highlight most of the main cast, all looking terrified or battle ready. The exception, of course, being Sadie Sink’s Max, whose temporary death last season opened the final rift that wreaked havoc on Hawkins.

In the final season, “The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”

Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), Nell Fisher (Evil Dead Rise), Alex Breaux (“American Primeval”), and Jake Connelly join the ensemble in Season 5.

Series creators The Duffer Brothers promised an epic final season ahead.

“We spent a full year filming this season. By the end, we had captured over 650 hours of footage,” Ross Duffer said previously. “So, needless to say, this is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty, pretty insane.”

“Season 5 will be big and epic, Matt Duffer added, echoing Ross’s promise for the final season. “There’s no time for a ramp-up. It’s going to be intense from beginning to end.”
