If Carrie is horror’s version of a girl becoming a woman, and Rosemary’s Baby is horror’s version of a woman becoming a mother, “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen” is the horror take on a woman becoming a wife.

From the executive producers of “Stranger Things,” the atmospheric horror show drops March 26 on Netflix.

The eight-episode limited series is created and written by showrunner Haley Z. Boston (“Hunters,” “Brand New Cherry Flavor”).

Camila Morrone (“Daisy Jones & the Six”) and Adam DiMarco (“The White Lotus”) star as Rachel Harkin and Nicky Cunningham, an engaged couple who are to be married in five days.

They embark on a road trip to Nicky’s family’s vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams. But Rachel, prone to superstition and paranoia, can’t shake the relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen.

Her foreboding doubts, coupled with a series of eerie coincidences and dreadful surprises, force her to ask the question: What makes two people soulmates? And worse — what could be scarier than a lifelong commitment to the wrong person?

Jeff Wilbusch (“Unorthodox”), Karla Crome (“Under the Dome”), Gus Birney (“Shining Vale”), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs), Sawyer Fraser (“The Baby-Sitters Club”), and Zlatko Burić (Triangle of Sadness) round out the cast.

“I love horror. It’s natural to me, [it’s how] I process my own emotions and feelings and my own understanding of the world,” Boston told Netflix. “I think horror allows you to explore taboo feelings and take all of these fears and give them some bite.”

Directors on the series include Weronika Tofilska (“Baby Reindeer”), Axelle Carolyn (“The Midnight Club”), and Lisa Brühlmann (“Killing Eve”).

“Stranger Things” creators The Duffer Brothers executive produce with Hilary Leavitt on behalf of Upside Down Pictures alongside Boston, Tofilska, and Andrea Sperling (“Transparent”).
