Uma Thurman will reprise her role as Charley in the second season of “Dexter: Resurrection.”
A former Special Ops officer who served as the right-hand woman to evil billionaire Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage), Charley fled New York City to care for her terminally ill mother at the end of Season 1.
Michael C. Hall will, of course, return as the titular serial killer, joined by Brian Cox as The New York Ripper.
The first season of “Dexter: Resurrection” took place weeks after Dexter Morgan was shot by his own son. He awakens from a coma to find Harrison gone without a trace. Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right.
But closure won’t come easy. When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined — and that the only way out is together.
Other survivors of last year’s mayhem are expected to return for Season 2, but plot details have yet to be revealed.
Original “Dexter” showrunner Clyde Phillips is back at the helm. He also executive produces with Hall, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson. Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios produce.
“Dexter: Resurrection” premiered in July to 4.4 million multiplatform viewers in its first seven days and was renewed for a second season in October.
