‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Is Now in Production

Production has commenced in New York City on the second season of “Dexter: Resurrection.”

“It’s happening,” star Michael C. Hall says in the announcement video. “We have exciting returning and new guest stars and another thrill ride planned. We are excited about making it and look forward to sharing it with you. Stay tuned.”

Uma Thurman, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Sarif, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar are reprising their roles.

They’ll be joined by Dan Stevens as The Five Borough Killer, Bokeem Woodbine as NYPD Homicide Captain Mixon, Nona Parker Johnson as Harrison’s new love interest Fiona Mixon, and Brian Cox as The New York Ripper.

The new season finds Dexter Morgan caught between two killers  — one notorious and the other terrorizing New York in ways no one ever anticipated — all while battling his greatest enemy yet: a mid-life crisis. Harrison continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter.

Original “Dexter” showrunner Clyde Phillips is back at the helm. Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios produce.

Executive producers include Hall, Phillips, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, Tanner Bean, and Katrina Mathewson.

“Dexter: Resurrection” premiered last July to 4.4 million multiplatform viewers in its first seven days and was renewed for a second season in October.
