We are just one day away from the long-awaited return of the Friday the 13th franchise with brand new A24 prequel series “Crystal Lake,” which premieres on Peacock on October 15, 2026.
All eight episodes of the prequel series will be released on the same day at the same time, and Peacock has officially confirmed the individual titles for all eight episodes this morning. In a fun twist, the episode titles are based on the various titles of the Friday the 13th movies.
Here are all eight “Crystal Lake” episode titles and runtimes…
- Camp Crystal – 56 min
- Part II – 53 min
- Part III – 48 min
- A New Beginning – 53 min
- The New Blood – 49 min
- Kill Them, Mommy – 44 min
- Friday… – 51 min
- The Final Chapter – 43 min
In total, “Crystal Lake” will be a 6 hour, 37 minute horror experience, making the series just about as long as 4-5 NEW MOVIE INSTALLMENTS in the Friday the 13th franchise!
Meagan Navarro writes in her review for Bloody Disgusting, “The series extends endless empathy for the Voorhees clan, peeling the curtain back wide on two of horror’s most memorable slasher villains. While it might be a bit too wide for some, having Camp Crystal Lake and all the Friday the 13th iconography back on screen, even the small screen, is a deeply welcome sight.”

The series follows single mother Pam Voorhees who has been unable to shake her grief after her young, sickly son Jason tragically drowned in the town lake almost a year before. When two strangers arrive at Pam’s door digging into her past, a disturbing chain of events is set into motion, leaving the townspeople of Crystal Lake wondering: just who is Pam Voorhees?
Brad Caleb Kane (“IT: Welcome to Derry”) is the showrunner for “Crystal Lake.”
Series regulars for “Crystal Lake” are Linda Cardellini, William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom, while the show’s recurring cast includes Callum Vinson, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch, and Phoenix Parnevik.
The eight-episode Peacock horror prequel series was directed by Michael Lennox (“Derry Girls”), Celine Held & Logan George (Caddo Lake), and Quyen Tran (“The Pitt”).
