The latest update for Friday the 13th: The Game is the best one to date, bringing Offline Bots(!) and Shelly Finkelstein into the game, along with the “Virtual Cabin 2.0”
“The Virtual Cabin is a combination museum to Friday the 13th: The Game, and an interactive dev diary” the developers explain. “2.0 is far larger in scope, not only with information and accessibility, but it includes far more than meets the eye if you start to explore. Why explore? Well…we’ve added a ton of stuff hidden below the surface.”
They continue, “The secrets in the updated Virtual Cabin are completely new. The more you explore, the more you’ll discover, and the more everything becomes clear to you. The Virtual Cabin is not what it seems, and it will take everything you have to unlock its secrets.”
Hidden within Virtual Cabin 2.0 are various teases for content that’s coming soon to the game, including Uber Jason and the Jason X-inspired “Grendel” map, and one of those teases brings Young Jason Voorhees (played by Ari Lehman) from the original Friday the 13th into the game for the very first time!
Does this mean Young Jason is going to be incorporated into the game itself? We don’t yet know, but the fact that the character model was created suggests he will be.
Thanks to Friday the 13th: The Franchise for the heads up!
