Trailer, Details and Date for ‘Dead by Daylight’ DLC Pack “The SAW Chapter”

Published

A teaser trailer released last week teased some sort of Saw-inspired DLC content for the slasher game Dead by Daylight, which already has Leatherface, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger as playable killers. We now know more about the add-on pack, which will bring a new killer, a new survivor and a new map into the game.

“The Pig is here to create a whole new version of hell for all Survivors. Mentored by Jigsaw she comes caring Reverse Bear Traps into the Realm of the Entity. So if you’re gonna play, you have to accept that the stakes are high.”

The SAW Chapter comes with The Pig, survivor David Tapp and the Gideon Meat Plant.

The pack will hit Steam, XBOX One and PlayStation 4 on January 23.

“Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical, multiplayer (4 vs 1) horror game where one player takes on the role of a savage killer, and the other four players become survivors frantically scurrying to avoid being caught, tortured and killed. Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. The Survivors’ goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer – something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.”

Dead by Daylight is now available on PS4Xbox One and Steam.

Writer in the horror community since 2008. Editor in Chief of Bloody Disgusting. Owns Eli Roth's prop corpse from Piranha 3D. Has two awesome cats. Still plays with toys.

Relive Early 2000s First-Person Shooters With The Gory ‘SPRAWL zero’ [Trailer]

June is coming to a close, but if you’re still hankering for this month’s Steam Next Fest goodies, Kwalee and developer MAETH’s throwback first-person cyberpunk shooter SPRAWL zero still has its demo from the event available for you to check out. Inspired by 2000s console FPS games such as Halo, the SPRAWL zero demo contains the frenetic action, gameplay and music you enjoyed from the early days, with plenty of gore thrown in for good measure.

In SPRAWL zero, you play as FIVE, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier controlled by the Junta. Your directive is to eliminate SILAS, leader of the radical techno-religious group IMAGO-DEI. The city plunges into chaos as all factions known and unknown aim to take control.

Combat is described as fast-paced but grounded, where enemy squads will communicate and coordinate to fight for the advantage. They will flank you, provide covering fire to teammates, and utilize grenades to flush you out in callbacks to those early 2000s shooters.

As a result, you must outsmart and outmaneuver the opposition using any advantage possible. Luckily, you have a few tricks of your own. You can catch their bullets and throw them right back with the Gravity Shield, or bend your shots midair with Bullet-Time for inhuman precision. In all, you’ll have 40 weapons at your disposal.

In addition to Steam, SPRAWL zero is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
