While it’s not a new game in the series (or a remake), Capcom is giving Onimusha: Warlords an HD remaster. Initially released way back on the PlayStation 2 in 2001, Onimusha will head to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on January 15, 2019 in glorious HD!
This remaster will include widescreen support with multiple display options (the ability to switch between 4:3 and 16:9), a new screen scroll feature for widescreen display (the background will scroll up and down according to players’ movements), analog stick support (original controls will be an option), the Easy Mode being unlocked from the get-go, and a revamped soundtrack that includes newly-recorded score and Japanese voices!
Warlords will retail for $19.99 USD. In North America, both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will have a physical and digital copy, while the Nintendo Switch and Steam will be digital-only. In Europe, the game will be a digital-only title for all platforms. You can pre-order for the PS4 and Xbox One versions later today.
