In spite of Ada Wong’s new look in the Resident Evil 2 remake being leaked before an official announcement, Capcom was still able to keep another appearance under wraps: The Licker. Via IGN, the new gameplay footage shows Claire doing battle against the long-tongued foe, though it’s not quite the same suspenseful reveal we got in the original game. To be fair, Capcom’s probably saving that one for the game.
Nonetheless, the mutant is still as creepy as it ever was, and the familiar click-clack of its claws on the ceiling are enough to give me chills. The Resident Evil 2 remake releases on January 25, 2019 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
