Highly Addictive Mobile Game ‘Goosebumps: HorrorTown’ Just Began Its “Haunted Halloween” Event!

Seriously, you guys. Download this game. Immediately. It’s everything.

I’ve downloaded a *ton* of different mobile games this year, and each time, I end up getting sick of them and hitting that uninstall button within a few weeks. Each time, that is, except for in the case of Pixowl’s Goosebumps: HorrorTown, which has been keeping me addicted for several months now. Essentially, the game allows you to build and manage a spooky town featuring monsters and storylines from the classic Goosebumps books, and rarely a day goes by where I’m not feverishly tapping away to buy new monsters and add new decorations.

Today, HorrorTown launched its “Haunted Halloween” event, a tie-in with the just-released Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween that takes direct inspiration from the movie. Honestly, it’s even more fun than the movie itself, loading up the town with Halloween atmosphere while also bringing in new monsters, characters from the movie and festive stories and items.

Haunted Halloween Features:

  • Build and manage a town with 50 new missions inspired by the film!
  • Four new characters: Sarah, Sonny, Sam, and Walter!
  • 10 new monsters including Witches and the Headless Horseman!
  • 50 new buildings and decorations

When you install the update and load up the game, you’ll notice that your town is now covered in leaves and pumpkins, with some of the houses outfitted with Halloween lights. The trees have even changed color, and most notably, the event space is decked out in full Halloween glory with a massive jack-o’lantern as well as the Sweet Treats Cottage and Fred’s Pharmacy.

In Fred’s Pharmacy, a location from the new film, you can spawn witches in the hopes of getting a valuable witch hat, while the Sweat Treats Cottage is loaded with new items to craft that include Vampire Teeth, Candy Blood Bags, Pumpkin Lollipops and Gummy Creatures. The new form of currency for the limited time event, fittingly, is evil gummy bears!

New locations available to purchase include the Junk Bros. Commercial Office, a Gummy Bear Stand, an Inflatable Gargoyle, and even the movie’s Giant Balloon Spider.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a town to run…
