It’s taken a long while for 11 Bit Studios to get this episodic DLC for This War of Mine off of the ground. But, good things come to those who wait, and the next episode, entitled “The Last Broadcast”, has finally been announced for release on November 14th. Coincidentally, the release also marks the 4th anniversary of the original release of the game back in 2014.
As for the reasoning behind the delay, according to Project Lead Tomasz Kisilewicz, the focus of “delivering a deeply emotional story” had caused the scope of the story to grow larger than the previous DLC’s story. As a result, “The Last Broadcast” includes different endings, new gameplay mechanics, new moral dilemmas about telling the truth which can influence the game’s world, new playable civilians, a new shelter people can live in, and new sites of the city of Pogoren to visit.
“The Last Broadcast” will be priced at $3.99 USD. However, due to the size of this DLC, the season pass will change from its price of $4.99 to $6.99 on November 14, 2018. So, if you haven’t snagged the game or its Season Pass, now’s a good time.
