In all the hoopla of Halloween, we almost missed news that Bethesda has released a new update for last year’s The Evil Within 2. The 1.05 update, which is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, adds a few new fixes, as well as gives players a few goodies if they link their account to Bethesda.net.
Once you link your account, new features available to players include the AKUMU difficulty mode, which is a direct reference to the first game, which contained a special mode of the same name. This mode featured enemies that were more vicious, more difficult overall challenges, and had a special ending if you manage to slog through it.
Other new features include infinite stamina, one-shot kills, and invincibility. Again, you have to link your account in order to get these ones. And, for those Xbox users who have one, Xbox One X support has been added, which should make an already good-looking game look even greater.
