Frankly speaking, if you’re not excited about Supermassive Games’ upcoming first entry in their new horror anthology series The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, then I don’t know how to help you. Oh wait, you can check out the first developer diary for the game, which is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019.
The two-and-a-half minute video looks at the design of the game’s ghost ship, with various members of the production, audio and art departments talking about the various techniques used to bring the ship from concept to a fully realized and in-game asset. All the while, we’re treating to in-engine renders of the ship, which looks as gorgeous as it is potentially terrifying to be trapped on board.
In addition, we get various short clips of the characters wandering the ship, with some meeting something that obviously doesn’t like them. If you enjoyed Supermassive’s Until Dawn, then you know what to expect from this diary.
