‘PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ Teaming With ‘Resident Evil 2’ For Upcoming Event

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are still trying to get their Battle Royale crown back from Fortnite, so what better way than to try and get people back with a little cross promotion?

According to Resident Evil‘s Japanese Twitter account, as well as PUBG Mobile‘s Twitter, Capcom and PUBG Corp are teaming for an upcoming event. No word on the details just yet, but once again, seeing as The Game Awards 2018 are taking place this Thursday, it seems a little convenient that the two companies would jointly announce something at the event.

Plus, you have the Resident Evil 2 remake coming out January 25, 2019, so why not?

PUBG Mobile (the Android and iOS version of PUBG) is huge at the moment, boasting over 10 million daily active users, with a good portion of them coming from China. Then again, that’s mobile users, and not console or PC, which is currently dominated by Fortnite. I guess you’ve got to start somewhere, right?
