Yes Virginia, Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season will finally begin to see its proper conclusion in January. However, for PC users looking for the new episodes on Steam, you’ll be out of luck, as Skybound has agreed to a deal with Epic to bring The Walking Dead: The Final Season to the Epic Games Store.
If you’re not in the know, the devs behind Fortnite and the Unreal Engine have recently created their alternative to Valve’s Steam platform (with the promise of more revenue for indie developers), and have snatched up exclusive deals for MadDog Game’s World War Z, Team Meat’s Super Meat Boy Forever and others in the process.
Now, you’re probably asking about the situation regarding the Season Pass you purchased on Steam. Not to worry, as according to the message on the Final Season’s Steam page, those who purchased the Season Pass prior to “the incident” will get access to Episodes 3 & 4 on Steam on their release date. No word on what the situation with GOG.com will be, however.
Episode 3, entitled “Broken Toys”, will release January 15, 2019 on the Epic Game Store, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
