‘Days Gone’ Collector’s Editions Revealed, Along With New Trailer
In spite of the multiple delays, Sony and Bend Studios’ open-world post-apocalyptic epic Days Gone will finally hit this April. And today, Sony have not only released the first of three videos showing off the world of Days Gone, but have also revealed the Pre-Order bonuses and Special Editions for the PS4-exclusive title.
The first world video gives us a taste of the beauty and danger of the Farewell Wilderness, featuring not only the numerous zombies that inhabit forest and caves, but also the infected and non-infected wildlife. Then there are also the roving bands of human gangs that are looking to exploit others as well as survive the wilderness with the rest of the less-hostile people.
But enough about that, you say. What do you get for pre-ordering? If you pre-order from your local retailer, you’ll receive a voucher to unlock the Drifter Crossbow weapon, as well as three upgrades for your drifter bike’s Nitrous, Gas Tank, and Shroud components. As a bonus for those who order from the PlayStation Store, you also get a Days Gone Sawmill Dynamic Theme immediately after pre-ordering.
As for the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll not only receive the pre-order bonus, but also a digital mini artbook, digital soundtrack, three additional drifter bike skins, the Monkey Wrench early skill unlock and theme. For the physical Collector’s Edition, you get everything from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a Collector’s Edition Statue, a set of patches, six pins, four decals, a Steelbook case for the game, a physical soundtrack, and a 48 Page Mini-Art Book by Dark Horse Comics.
Days Gone releases April 26th, 2019.

McDonald’s No-Clips Out of Reality with Unexpected ‘Backrooms’ Short Movie
The best part about engaging with collaborative genre fiction on the internet is that anyone can get in on the action, with worldwide accessibility often resulting in absurd story beats that wouldn’t be possible if any single person was responsible for the entire narrative. And while Kane Parsons’ Backrooms film is definitely the young filmmaker’s own unique take on the infamous creepypasta, it’s fun to see other creators join the Backrooms sandbox now that the big screen adaptation is getting ready for a record-shattering opening weekend.
As if cleverly timed releases like Puppet Combo’s The Backrooms game weren’t enough (not to mention that Scary Movie poster poking fun at Parsons’ flick), McDonald’s official social media accounts have now released an analog horror video of their own celebrating the liminal terrors of the McRooms – complete with a familiar purple surprise at the end of the footage.
While it’s funny enough to see the world’s most recognizable Fast Food giant engage with internet-borne Found Footage thrills seemingly out of the blue, the video is actually referencing a long-running gag among the Backrooms fandom where creators jokingly talk about there being a fully functional McDonald’s restaurant hidden somewhere in level 0 of the infamous liminal labyrinth.
Now, would it be too much to hope for a moist-carpet-flavored McShake to tie in with the film?
Backrooms is now playing only in theaters from A24.
