As was reported yesterday, Capcom was thinking of potentially releasing post-launch content for Resident Evil 2. Funny how that comes out, and then on Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 Launch Event Stream, they do just that.
Ghost Survivors is a free content update for RE2 that is a new game mode that will be released in three volumes. Similar to Resident Evil 4‘s Mercenaries mode, Ghost Survivors mode has you playing as multiple characters (only Robert Kendo and the mayor’s daughter Katherine have been revealed so far) with randomized elements, and features an in-game shop to earn points in-game to purchase items. The first volume will also include a brand new enemy that’s not normally found in the main game.
Resident Evil 2 is out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC this Friday. And look out for our review!
