Total Conversion Mod For ‘Skyrim’, ‘Enderal: Forgotten Stories’, Launches Next Week
If you’re tired of Todd Howard constantly churning out the same Skyrim game since 2011, then you’ll probably want to check out the long-awaited Enderal: Forgotten Stories. A total conversion of Skyrim, but with its own lore and story, the developers have announced that the game will finally go live on February 14.
The mod has been in the works since 2016, and even has its own Steam page. Like Skyrim, Enderal is an open world game, but as mentioned, with its own lore, and is totally separate from The Elder Scrolls series. You can still download the original mod from ModDB. The game features a ton of new content, including new classes, as well as revamped survival and combat mechanics.
The version on Steam, which eliminates the hassle of trying to install the mod over top of the base game, has been expanded with a whack of new features, including two new “crafting classes,” 12 additional side quests and non-linear guild questlines, reworked crafting and spells, and improved performance and stability.
Best of all, as long as you own either the original Skyrim or the upgraded Legendary Edition (Skyrim Special Edition has a few issues that the devs need to iron out), neither have to be installed in order to play Enderal. You can simply just head to the Steam page, download the total conversion and install it.

The film comes from writer-director William Woods and stars Constance Wu, Mark O’Brien, William Fichtner, Callista Crowe, Isaac Smelcer-Zhang, Oscar Hsu, and Murray Furrow.
Maddy Falle, Albert Shin, and Allison White produce. Executive producers include Rob McGillivray, Ben Stranahan, Tom Spriggs, John Hansen III, Patrick Vipond, Jared Blaichman, Jonah Blaichman, and Randall Okita.
