To add to the hype surrounding the latest Stranger Things 3 trailer, according to Game Revolution, some sharp-eyed viewers (and Kojima fans) have noticed some similarities with the trailer, and Kojima’s final Konami game, the Silent Hills P.T. demo.
Twitter user SMaojinxTPOWx noticed the similarities, and shared them with Kojima:

SMaojinxTPOWx continued with showing off more comparisons, including how the radio that made its way into Metal Gear Solid V as part of a P.T. Easter egg was also present and correct in the Strangers Things 3 trailer:

It’s not known if Stranger Things 3 creators Matt and Ross Duffer took inspiration from Kojima’s work, but Matt Duffer has previously stated (at least twice) that the Silent Hill franchise was a source of inspiration for Strangers Things 3.
Of course, the next question is just if we’ll be seeing more references once Stranger Things 3 hits Netflix on July 4, 2019 (the same day as the game based on the third season).
