Ever since the game’s announcement at E3 2018, Microsoft has been keeping a tight lid on any news related to Gears of War 5. Even Xbox head Phil Spencer couldn’t be pried for any real information. But now, Microsoft has relented and will give us a glimpse at the game’s multiplayer on June 14th at 11.00pm EST.
The catch is that you’ll have to be watching TBS’ new TV series to see it.
According to VentureBeat, during the new six-part series ‘Eleague Gears Summer Series: The Bonds and Betrayals of Brotherhood’, which focuses on six esports players (and fans of the Gears of War series), Microsoft will be revealing footage of the game’s multiplayer in action.
By coincidence, that June 14th date is five days after Microsoft will be hosting its E3 press conference, meaning that we could quite possibly see GoW5 at this year’s E3, too!
Gears 5 will launch exclusively for Xbox One at some point later this year.
