It was understandably a bummer that Frogwares had to delay the release of their Lovecraftian-inspired game, The Sinking City. However, with June coming up fast, pre-orders are now available for the game, as well as a brand-new commented video showing off the gameplay.
The video in question picks up during one of the game’s quests, entitled “A Delicate Matter”. Mr. Throgmorthon, head of one of the leading families in Oakmont, has tasked you to look into the matter of a suddenly-missing receiver of stolen art, just before closing the sale of a valuable item. Throgmorthon wants the item back at all costs.
The video also demonstrates how the main investigation mechanics work, which results in you quickly finding out that you’re in over your head.
As for pre-ordering (which you can do here), if you spring for the digital-only Necronomicon Edition, you’ll also receive the “Worshippers of the Necronomicon” 3-quest pack, and the “Investigator Pack” DLC.
The Sinking City hits PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 27th.
