We mentioned a few months back about Nightdive Studio’s efforts to update the criminally overlooked FPS, Blood. Apart from some screenshots, we haven’t gotten much more info until today. Blood: Fresh Supply is now available on Steam and GOG.com.
Fresh Supply bring the 1997 shooter into modern gaming with widescreen resolutions (including 4K, antialiasing, ambient occlusion and interpolation), a proper 3D camera, gamepad support, and rebuilt multiplayer netcode. The game includes all of Blood’s original levels and its two expansions, the “Plasma Pak” and “Cryptic Passage”.
Blood is definitely worth a revisit if you played it way back then. And if you’ve never played the game back when it came out, here’s your chance to see where games like Dusk, WRATH: Aeon of Ruin and other throwback shooters today got their inspiration.
If you want the nitty gritty details about this new version, you can check out PCGamer’s preview of the game.
