A few years back, it was reported that there were a couple of VR games based on AMC’s The Walking Dead in the works. And now, one of them is set to hit this Fall via Steam. The Walking Dead Onslaught is touted as “the official VR game of AMC’s The Walking Dead“, and will feature an story exclusive to the game.
Onslaught will feature work by veteran VR studios Survios, which is touted as their “most combat experience” to date. That also includes a “progressive dismemberment system” that allows you to lop off limbs, carve up and impale walkers, who will react accordingly. The game will also take advantage of “context-based physics”, which promises to further enhance immersion.
More info is expected on the title in the near future, including the story. The Walking Dead Onslaught will be available for HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift systems.
