Add another rumour to the pile this morning. With the Nintendo Switch having gotten in on all of the cool ports like DOOM, Wolfenstein II and Skyrim, according to Chinese website Taobao.com (and the image below, courtesy of ResetEra), CD Projekt Red may be joining Bethesda with The Witcher 3!

The text roughly translates to: “[Breaking! Witcher 3 GOTY edition is coming to Switch in September.] According to a reliable source from distributor, Witcher 3 GOTY edition is coming to Switch in September. Chinese localization exclusive to Asia version.”
None of this has been verified (so far) by CD Projekt Red, for starters. Then there’s also the question of just how the game will perform on the Switch. Plus, like Resident Evil VII, it might even be an Asian exclusive for the Switch. Regardless, keep that salt handy.
Released in 2015, The Witcher 3 is readily available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Netflix series based on the game series is expected to hit this Fall/Winter.
