In addition to a VR experience launched this week, Orion’s Child’s Play has also now spawned a video game, which was originally only accessible if you had pre-ordered tickets.
It’s titled “Escape Zedmart,” set in a fictional location from director Lars Klevberg’s new take on the horror classic. It’s a simple, old school game, pitting you up against Chucky.
You’re tasked with running from Chucky and, if you can find weapons, fighting back. Once you pick up a weapon like a knife, the tables are turned and Chucky runs from you.
Otherwise, you collect items to score points and try to, well, escape Zedmart.
If you’ve got a little time to kill, give the Pacman-style game a try! My first attempt ended with a weak score of just 7,000, so here’s hoping you’re better at this than I am!
Child’s Play slashes its way to theaters on June 21, 2019.
