Ahead of the first DLC for Mortal Kombat 11, Netherrealm studios have released patch notes that not only introduces new fixes and adjustments to many characters, it also appears to have added new Brutalities to the game. As well, it accidentally(?!) has made one Brutality completely uncensored.
If you’re not familiar with past Mortal Kombat games, Kabal has had variations on his “Screamer” fatality, where he would remove his mask to reveal his scarred face, screaming at his opponent, who would then die of fright. The current form is now a brutality, which was originally pixelated to obscure his face. Now, however, that pixelation has been removed, resulting in some unintentional hilarity. On a more serious note, according to ComicBook.com, someone at Google apparently let slip that the Terminator is an upcoming DLC character for the game.
If you searched “Mortal Kombat Terminator game” into Google last night, you’d be greeted with an ad from Mortal Kombat 11‘s official website, which states that the Terminator is to be added to the roster. It has obviously since been removed, but this feeds into the initial leak that was reported by Nintendo Switch users ahead of the official launch.
If this is true, this would also be the third instance of a crossover with the Terminator franchise this year, as Gears of War 5 revealed at E3 last week that they’ll be bringing the T-800 and Sarah Connor to the game’s multiplayer. The T-800 is also coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint when that game launches in October.
Mortal Kombat 11 is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
