Agent 47 Returns to Siberia in Latest ‘Hitman 2’ DLC; ‘Hitman 3’ in Development!

Published

Today’s a double dose of Hitman news, as not only has IO Interactive released the trailer for the next Hitman 2 map, but thanks to NoClip, it’s been revealed that Hitman 3 is in development!

First up is the new Siberia map for Hitman 2. Releasing on July 30th, the map transports players to the Perm-14 prison facility located near the frigid Siberian tundra. Players can either go at it alone as Agent 47, or team up as operatives, Stone or Knight, via the franchise’s first online cooperative mode.

In this latest map for Sniper Assassin mode, players must eliminate two targets and incite a prison riot to cover their tracks. Completing challenges within the mission will also progress mastery with the ICA Druzhina 34 Arctic sniper rifle, Agent 47’s weapon of choice for this assignment. Reaching the highest mastery level with this rifle will permanently unlock it for use within all sandbox locations in the game.

And as for Hitman 3, NoClip has once again released an awesome doc, this time chronicling the fall and the rise of the Hitman franchise. At around the 34 minute mark, CEO and co-owner Hakan Abrak confirms the development of the third game. Hitman 3 could also go back to episodic releases as the first game did back in 2016.

Other than that, no other info has been released for the game.

Hitman 2 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Survios Announces VR Title ‘Alien: Rogue Incursion’, Coming This Year [Trailer]

Remember back in 2022 when developer Survios had announced that they were teaming up with 20th Century Games to develop a new Alien title? Well seeing as it’s Alien Day, Survios has announced their brand-new VR title, Alien: Rogue Incursion. Coming “Holiday 2024” to the PlayStation VR2, SteamVR, and Quest 3, Rogue Incursion will feature an original story that “fully surrounds players within the terrors of the Alien universe”.

Details on the game are light at the moment, but the official site describes the upcoming title as being “designed by Alien fans for Alien fans”, with Survios aiming to craft a “technically advanced, and frightfully immersive Alien virtual reality game.”

Seeing as Alien: Isolation never got official VR support when it was released, this is obviously a welcome announcement. In the meantime, if you’re keen to experience an Alien game in VR, you can always check out the fan-made mod for Alien: Isolation by Nibre_, which allows both the Steam and Epic Games Store version of Alien: Isolation to be played using the Oculus.

And speaking of Alien: Isolation, as you might expect, it’s got a hefty 80% discount going on at the moment on Steam until May 1. So if you still haven’t grabbed it after all these years, this is as good a time as any.
