Arnold Schwarzenegger Will Not be Voicing The T-800 in ‘Mortal Kombat 11’

Published

Admittedly, this might not be a shocker to you (it wasn’t for me), but Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t be voicing his T-800 likeness in the Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 11.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, despite Ed Boon’s enthusiasm on Twitter for Arnold “being” in the game, Warner Bros. Interactive confirmed that Schwarzenegger isn’t involved with the game. Instead, a sound-alike voice actor will be used for the T-800’s lines.

For those keeping score, Schwarzenegger has lent his voice to be used in video games in the past. Clips of Arnold were used in Terminator 2: The Arcade Game, and he voiced the T-800 in Atari’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

Footage of the T-800 in action should show up prior to the character’s release for Mortal Kombat 11 on October 8. MK11 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, with a Google Stadia release in the future.
