What this is we don’t know yet, but Outlast masterminds Red Barrels have teased their upcoming project with yesterday’s Twitter post. Red Barrels had mentioned back in 2017 that they had hoped to make Outlast 3 “at some point”, but at the same time, they also mentioned that they were also working on a “distinct experience” set in the Outlast universe.
So, until we get confirmation as to just what this is, start your speculations. But there’s at least a good chance horror is involved.
Outlast and Outlast 2 are currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
